X Congreso Internacional para el Estudio de la Violencia contra las Mujeres

"La violencia de género: una cuestión de Derechos Humanos"

The Ministry of Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation, through the General Directorate of Gender Violence, Equality of Treatment and Diversity, launches the tenth edition of the International Congress for the Study of Violence against Women, a meeting forum, participation, training and research in gender violence.

The face-to-face sessions of this X International Congress will be held on December 2 and 3, in FIBES, the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Seville.

With the slogan "gender violence: a matter of human rights", the X Congress will have as a thread the modifications produced by Law 7/2018, of July 30, which modifies Law 13/2007, of November 26, on comprehensive prevention and protection measures against gender violence and the State Pact on Gender Violence.

The organization of this Congress is based on the conviction that the permanent and specialized training and information on gender-based violence and the participation of the different areas directly related to its treatment, such as professionals and staff working in the different promotion systems and social protection, and the associations of women, groups, social agents and professional associations that work in the different territories, are key to continue advancing in the prevention, attention and eradication of gender violence.

Therefore, this scientific event is aimed at people who work in the field of care for victims of gender violence (judicial field, education, women's centers, social affairs, bodies and security forces, health, communication...), as well as all persons and entities interested in gender equality and prevention of sexist violence.

We encourage you to attend and participate in this X Congress, in which research and exchange of experiences will have a leading role, with the conviction that intervention in this type of meetings is essential to create networks that allow progress in prevention and eradication of gender violence.

We also invite you to present scientific papers and good practices and to participate in the debates through social networks, which are key to the multiplier effect of this event.

You can register through the following form: registration form
